How common human experiences are expressed over various communities.

‘Cultural differences’ is on the list, removed from documents and blocked from research proposals, silencing consideration of the colorful realities of American life. Working to understand cultural differences undermines the project of divisive fear. Acknowledging difference leads to open-mindedness and creative problem-solving. Respecting cultural differences leads to dignified care and equitable resource distribution. This government does not want to encourage any of those things. This government is using violence to keep us divided and afraid, and to make sure the world plows deeper into division and fear.
